The multiplicative partition function $\Theta_k(X)$ counts the number of different tuples of $k$ positive integers $(m_1,m_2,\ldots,m_k)$ such that $1\leq m_1\leq m_2 \leq \ldots \leq m_k$ and $m_1 \cdot m_2 \cdot \ldots \cdot m_k \leq X $. In this paper the author investigates the asymptotic behavior of $\Theta_k(X)$ as $X\to\infty$ and obtains new identities and asymptotic formulas.
