Viktor Aleksandrovich Gorbunov (1950 -- 1999). (Q1771853)

The paper is written in memory of \textit{V. A. Gorbunov}, professor at the Novosibirsk State University and researcher in the Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The problem to which he decided himself the most was the so-called Birkhoff-Mal'tsev problem which asks for a description of all lattices that can be represented as lattices of quasivarieties.
