The aim of this paper is to establish a new class of generalized minimax inequalities based on the notion of the generalized KKM type selections. The results obtained generalize the minimax inequality theorems of \textit{Tan} and \textit{Zhang} [Proc. Nonlinear Funct. Anal. 1, 1-19 (1996)].
