2nd microlocalization and conical refraction (Q1819449)

The author considers a microhyperbolic microdifferential operator P with involutive critical manifold \(\Sigma\) of its principal symbol. He formulates the theorem that 2-microlocal singular spectrum \(SS^ 2_{\Sigma}(u)\) of the solution u to equation \(Pu=0\) propagates along 2- bicharacteristics. This theorem implies a standard assertion about propagation of the usual singular spectrum of the solution.
