Using inverse methods the expansion of a \(CP_{N-1}\) model in two dimensions has been studied by the author. This is formulated in terms of two component Jost solutions and leads to a matricial Gelfand-Levitan- Marchenko equation. The new insight is, that the absence of supplementary information on the 1/N series, due to the non-integrability at quantum level, does not allow safe quantitative conclusions on the general behaviour of the 1/N series at large orders.
