The paper contains the remark that an old result due to \textit{D. V. Widder} (see his paper ``Completely convex functions and Lidstone series'', Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 51, 387-398 (1942; Zbl 0061.11511)] yields (in a straightforward manner) analogues of F. Giaccardi's inequality for higher order convex functions.
