In the paper authors study scalar conservation laws on bounded domains. They use the concept of renormalized entropy solution and show that it is equivalent to the concept of weak entropy solution. Assuming the \(L^1\) integrability of the initial data as well as the right-hand side and zero Dirichlet boundary conditions, the existence and uniqueness of the renormalized entropy solution to the initial-boundary value problem is proved.
