The existence of Thom classes (Q1886437)

This paper continues the work of the author in [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 163, No. 2, 221--233 (2001; Zbl 0981.55009) and Forum Math. 10, No. 1, 1--18 (1998; Zbl 0901.13007)] concerning primary decompositions in the category of unstable modules over the Steenrod algebra and in the category of modules over a given noetherian algebra which admit a compatible unstable module structure. In particular, the existence of Thom classes is proved and used to derive a prime filtration theorem in the category of noetherian unstable modules.
