Generalizing a construction of \textit{V. D. Tonchev} [J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 52, 197-205 (1989; Zbl 0694.05012)] the authors construct thousands of inequivalent binary doubly-even self-dual [64, 32, 12] codes by applying certain transformations to some of the previously known codes with these parameters.
