Theorems of uniqueness and stability of generalized solutions to initial boundary value problems for a system of quasilinear equations related to one-dimensional dynamics of viscous barothropic fluid are proved. The present article completes a series of the authors papers devoted to justification of well-posedness of the problems in question.
