The equilibrium of a hollow cylinder of finite length made of a neo-Hookean material subjected to finite axisymmetric deformations is studied in material description. By assuming that the thickness of the undeformed tube is very small compared to its inner radius, an approximate solution is sought in the form of asymptotic series.
