A Cartan connection associated with a system of third order partial differential equations (Q1909833)

Let \(S^k_m(V_n)\) be the bundle of \(m\)-dimensional contact elements of order \(k\) on a manifold \(V_n\). Using the canonical forms of the third order frame bundle of \(V_n\), the author deduces that every section \(S^2_n(V_n) \to S^3_{n - 1} (V_n)\) determines a principal fiber bundle and a Cartan connection on the latter bundle.
