[Part II is reviewed below.] This paper considers systems which can switch between different linear finite-dimensional systems which are not necessarily of the same McMillan degree. The resulting behavior is smooth between switches and possibly impulsive at the switching times. These impulsive-smooth solutions are examined using an algebraic framework.
