Adopting the compactness defined in [the first author, ibid. 67, 329-336 (1994; Zbl 0842.54011)] the authors introduce and investigate almost, light, near and strong compactness and \(S\)-closedness in \(L\)-fuzzy topological spaces. It is shown that each of them is a good \(L\)-fuzzy extension.
