Rapid quasi-brittle tearing of a thermoelastic strip (Q1922011)

The author considers a boundary value problem for the coupled equations of stationary elasticity for the domain \(G\backslash L\), where \(G\) is the strip \(\{(x,y)\in\mathbb{R}^2\mid-a<y<a\}\), \(L\) is the ray \(\{(x,0)\in\mathbb{R}^2\mid x<0\}\). The Wiener-Hopf technique is used to solve the problem, and an accurate asymptotic investigation at the point \((0,0)\) is performed to discuss the stress intensity factor and the Dugdale-Leont'ev-Panasyuk model.
