The paper deals with the matrix Dirac-type formalism for the Maxwell equations. The tetrad method is applied in view of extending the formalism to curved space-time models. The present paper is the continuation of the previous paper by the authors [Adv. Appl. Clifford Algebr. 22, No. 4, 1129--1149 (2012; Zbl 1271.78011)], where the problem was studied in the case of the Minkowski space. First, the vacuum case is treated. Then, the formalism is extended to a curved space-time in the presence of a medium. Relations between matrix and tensor equations are established.
