The aim of the paper under review is to examine the decomposition of the spectrum of a topological algebra into subspaces that are connected with the initial algebra. For appropriate topological algebras a method of gluing spaces together is applied to the Shilow, Bishop and Choquet boundary. Further, applications concern extensions of results of H. S. Bear and S. J. Sidney.
