The authors describe an algorithm for numerical simulation of inner separated flows in terms of the Navier-Stokes equations with a chemical nonequilibrium model for air. Supersonic flow in a planar channel with variable cross section is considered for certain models of air: ideal gas \( C_p/C_r = \text{const}, \) chemically frozen, and chemically nonequilibrium flow. The influence of the gas model on the structure of a separated-flow region is analyzed.
