The author proves a generalization of the known result of \textit{H.\,Bor} [Georgian Math. J. 26, No.\,3, 361--366 (2019; Zbl 1453.26019)] using a quasi-$f$-power increasing sequence instead of a positive increasing one. Some new applications in absolute matrix summability of Fourier series are also presented.
