The Cauchy problem for the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation is considered. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the propagation of \(\delta\)-waves in the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation are established. Special attention is paid to the so-called \(\alpha\)-solution concept, which is shown to be a convenient tool in the study of singular solutions of nonlinear PDEs.
