Lagrange spaces with \((y, \beta)\)-metric (Q2260750)

Summary: We study Lagrange spaces with \((y, \beta)\)-metric, where \(y\) is a cubic metric and \(\beta\) is a 1-form. We obtain the fundamental metric tensor, its inverse, the Euler-Lagrange equations, the semispray coefficients, and the canonical nonlinear connection for a Lagrange space endowed with a \((y, \beta)\)-metric. Several other properties of such space are also discussed.
