The authors combine results of their previous two papers [(i) ibid. 23, No. 1, 111-118 (1992; Zbl 0759.93082) and the paper reviewed above (ii)]. Namely, they use the performance index proposed in [(i)] in the form of the expected value of the miss distance for evaluation of the control bang-bang type law applied to a point-mass model of the projectile discussed in (ii). Two types of guidance problems are considered. In the first one maximization of the expected value of the miss distance from the centre of the target set is discussed. In the second one the maximum horizontal range of the projectile is considered. Numerical results are presented for those two problems.
