Odd unitary groups, introduced by Petrov, generalize classical group over rings. The generalization consists of replacing involutions by pseudo-involutions (which need not to fix the ring identities). In this paper, the normality of the odd elementary subgroup \(\mathrm{EU}(V,q)\) and the stability for odd unitary \(K_1\)-group are re-proved.
