The paper is devoted to the analysis of a scalar Riccati equation \[ \dot z+ a(t)z^2+b(t)z+c(t)=0 \] with continuous complex-valued coefficients \(a(t)\), \(b(t)\), \(c(t)\). The authors provide several solvability conditions and apply the obtained results to the Redheffer system.
