A family of simple weight modules over the Virasoro algebra (Q2400345)

In this paper the authors use simple modules over the Lie algebra of derivations of the polynomial algebra \(\mathbb{C}[t]\) to construct a new family of simple weight modules over the Witt and Virasoro algebras. All non-zero weight spaces in modules of this family are infinite dimensional. The authors provide an isomorphism criteria for these modules and compare them to known simple Virasoro modules.
