Blow-up or not for the solution of evolution equations has been an important problem both mathematically and physically. There are many mathematical techniques built to establish blow-up. However, numerical approximations for such a kind of solutions seem not to have been well-investigated. The author investigates an algorithm proposed for the computation of blow-up problems and discusses its applicability to reproduce various blow-up behaviors. Although some of them still need mathematical proofs, it seems that the algorithm does provide many useful information.
