Ricci flat 4-metrics with bidimensional null orbits (Q2433863)

The paper is part of a program to classify pseudo-Riemannian manifolds \((M,g)\) by their Killing algebra, i.e., Lie algebra of Killing vector fields, and by the geometry of orbits of subalgebras of the latter. The authors completely classify four-dimensional Ricci-flat manifolds which admit two linearly independent Killing vectors \(X,Y\) such that the metric \(g\) degenerates on the distribution \({\mathcal D}\) generated by \(X,Y\) and that the orthogonal distribution \({\mathcal D}^\perp\) is completely integrable. They derive explicit normal forms of the metric, known ones as well as new ones.
