The book is concerned with the role played by two Spaniard authors Francisco de Villalpando (1740-1797) and Juan Justo García (1752-1830) in the introduction and spread of the infinitesimal calculus in Spain. With this purpose, part of an original work published by Villalpando is reproduced in Latin, together with its Spanish translation. Then it is compared with another one by García. Moreover, the book contains one chapter on the scientific antecedent of this subject and some biographical notes of the mentioned authors.
