This paper gives an overview of structured singular value techniques for robust analysis and design with respect to both unmodelled dynamics and parameter uncertainty.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe parametrized model could take the form of state-space/differential equations or a transfer matrix. The unmodelled dynamics can be norm bounded.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe use of both upper and lower bounds is introduced. The robust performance problems can be handled. Many paper's and the used framework are discussed. The present tutorial paper is focused on the \(\mu\)-approach for dealing with parametric uncertainty. Alternative approaches are reviewed. It is referred to a number of available software packages to solve the problems numerically. As a result these tools are readily accessible to practicing engineers. There are significant applications!NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe paper is well readable, results are illustrated by figures and there is a long list of references.
