The two-dimensional motions of a gas with a special adiabatic exponent (English)

The author applies the group analysis method to two-dimensional gas dynamics equations for polytropic gas with adiabatic exponent \(\gamma= 2\) [see \textit{L.~V.~Ovsyannikov}, J. Appl. Math. Mech. 58, No. 4, 601-627 (1994; Zbl 0890.76070)]. The submodel analysis allows to derive the first integrals. The group properties of self-similar solutions are investigated, and examples are given which describe the expansion of a gas into vacuum in an infinite time.
