The effect of a local increase in impurity concentration in one-dimensional hydrodynamics (English)

The paper deals with the process of one-dimensional convective diffusion of a passive admixture at liquid flow. As a model equation the Burgers equation is presented. The author studies the passive admixture convection for the unit Prandtl number. The algebraic structure of solutions is discussed, and an example of active admixture is considered which produces a reverse effect on the liquid flow. No numerical results are considered.
