The naval hero Peter Tordenskiold \& the Wessel family (English)
0 references
This paper deals with Peter Wessel (1690-1720), his life and his merits as a Danish-Norwegian naval heroe, he was ennobled in 1716 as Peter Tordenskiold. There are some interesting and amusing stories and anecdotes (maybe facts). The only link to mathematics is that the famous Peter Tordenskiold is a ``grand uncle'' of the mathematician Caspar Wessel (1745-1818).NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0970.00008].
