Experimental investigations of supercavitating regime of flow around self-propelled models (English)

The author presents the methods and results of experimental investigations of supercavities for ventilated and vapour supercavitating flow regimes in the range of velocities \(V = 30 \div 140\) m/s. Experiments have been carried out on wire riding self - propelled models of different type. The registered parameters of steady vapour and ventilated supercavities and effects of interaction between the vapour supercavity and the model hull and reactive engine are presented. Some characteristic types of unsteady processes at different motion stages of wire riding models are considered.
