Analytical method for solution of nonlinear problems of unsteady cavity flows (Q2784944)

The author proposes a direct method for finding the complex flow potential in inverse boundary value problems. The method is based on the theory of functions of complex variable, and allows to determine the complex velocity and the derivative of complex potential from their values on the boundary of the flow region. The method is evaluated by solving the classical problem of symmetric cavity flow around the wedge, including the particular case of flow around a plate.
