Numerical simulation of an electro-thermal model for superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (English)
0 references
The authors propose two algorithms for the numerical analysis of the electro-thermal model associated to superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors. This model is governed by a nonlinear free boundary problem involving both the temperature and the current, which are coupled by a nonlinear parabolic interface equation and an ordinary differential equation. Several numerical experiments illustrate the performance and accuracy of the methods introduced.
