This paper presents an algorithm for solving the axially symmetric dynamic problem of elasticity theory for a piecewise-homogeneous ring loaded by time-variable normal forces. Calculations of stresses in the plates with arbitrary number of layers are made based on the calculation of the Laplace transform using the modified Prudnikov formula for the Laplace transform inversion. Characteristic features of the dynamic stress distributions in homogeneous and piecewise-homogeneous plates are determined.
