Sharp endpoint estimates for the \(X\)-ray transform and the Radon transform in finite fields (English)

\textit{A. Carbery}, \textit{B. Stones} and \textit{J. Wright} [Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 144, No. 1, 13--27 (2008; Zbl 1141.43006)] initially studied the mapping properties of \(k\)-plane transforms in finite fields of dimension \(d\). The cases \(k=1\) and \(k=d-1\) are known as the \(X\)-ray transform and the Radon transform respectively. In the paper under review the author establishes sharp \(L^p-L^r\) estimates for \(X\)-ray transforms and Radon transforms in finite fields.
