In this paper, the authors interpret the Rahman polynomials in terms of the Lie algebra \(\mathfrak{sl}_3(\mathbb C).\) By viewing the Rahman polynomials in this way, they derived some of their properties, such as orthogonality relation, two seven-term recurrence relations along with the corresponding relations satisfied by their duals.
