Maximum-norm a posteriori error estimates for singularly perturbed elliptic reaction-diffusion problems (Q303644)

The authors present maximum-norm a posteriori error estimates for singularly perturbed elliptic reaction-diffusion problems. They first provide analytical preliminaries, and give notable bounds for Green's function for singularly perturbed problems and the proofs of a posteriori upper and lower bounds in the maximum norm. Numerical examples are presented. An appendix is given where the authors show that logarithmic factors must be present in a posteriori upper bounds and where they discuss error estimates.
