\(H\) is considered the continued fraction expansion of an irrational number \(x_0\in [0,1)\) given by the Gauss transformation \(T\). The authors provide the Hausdorff dimension of the recurrence set of the Gauss transformation \(T\), advancing previous work of \textit{J. L. Fernández}, \textit{M. V. Melián} and \textit{D. Pestana} [Math. Ann. 337, No. 1, 233--251 (2007; Zbl 1125.30019)].
