The authors extend earlier results of \textit{J. Spruck} [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 49, 1--31 (1972; Zbl 0263.53008)] on existence of graphs of constant mean curvature \(H>0\) over planar domains and achieving Dirichlet data that can be infinite on some boundary arcs, to graphs over domains on a Hadamard surface of Gaussian curvature \(\leq -a<0\). They succeed in showing that similar underlying ideas prevail for the result; however there are technically difficult points and a considerable effort is needed to establish the needed details.
