The authors implement the Richardson extrapolation to compute finite difference approximations of eigenvalues and eigenfunctions of \(t\)-periodic Sturm-Liouville eigenvalue problems with increased accuracy (decreased truncation error), in particular with regard to higher-order eigenvalues. Theoretical results are confirmed with numerical experiment data for test problems with exact solutions.
