Sur les petites oscillations d'un pendule élastique contenant un liquide. (Small oscillations of an elastic pendulum containing a liquid) (Q581003)

The problem of small oscillations of a liquid with free surface in a moving tank submitted to given forces has been studied in many papers. In a previous paper, the author considered again \textit{L. N. Sretenskij}'s problem [Izv. Akad. Nauk SSSR, Otd. Tekhn. Nauk 1951, 1483-1494 (1951)], but in the case of a rectangular tank closed by an elastic cover. In this paper he studies small oscillations of a pendulum formed by a wedge- shaped tank, containing a liquid and closed by an elastic bottom or a rigid wall and an elastic cover. In both cases the possibility of eigenvibrations is proved and the potential of velocity of the motion of liquid and the shape of the elastic wall are calculated.
