The paper deals with discrete maximum principle in terms of the formal language of linear algebra, that is, without using any concepts of difference scheme theory. The author also considers the case in which the discrete maximum principle is extended to inhomogeneous algebraic systems. Adequate numerical examples of problems from mathematical physics are presented.
