Based on the linear exponential quadratic Gaussian (LEQG) with loop transfer recovery (LTR), the authors propose a new method for the speed controller design problem of a brushless DC motor. Such a controller has the greatest importance for high performance in conditions of load disturbance and parameter variations.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINETaking into consideration a linear time-invariant, controllable and observable system with the LEQG/LTR controller, after a discretization procedure, a block diagram of the sensorless brushless DC motor with extended Kalman filter is obtained. The numerical and experimental results verify the new procedure for designing the brushless DC motor.
