The authors develop an analytical model of a two-component turbulent flow with heat and mass transfer inside a protective clothing. The model consists of an averaged mass-conservation equation, Reynolds-averaged momentum-conservation equation and averaged Fourier-Kirchhoff energy-conservation equation with appropriate boundary conditions. In addition, an averaged species transport equation is also considered. The authors mention for turbulence models, but do not choose the appropriate one among the four models. A designer needs a simple model to design a protective cooling. As the temperature difference between the human body surface and the interior environment is not large enough, the laminar free convection model may provide a useful information for the design purposes.
