In this paper, the author proves a novel pair of Littlewood identities for Schur functions, recently conjectured by \textit{E. M. Rains} and \textit{S. O. Warnaar} in the Macdonald case [Bounded Littlewood identities. Providence, RI: American Mathematical Society (AMS) (2021; Zbl 1467.05001)], in which the sum is over partitions with empty 2-core. As a byproduct, a new Littlewood identity in the spirit of Littlewood's original formulae is obtained.
