Summary: We consider equilibrium states of axisymmetrical pendant drop taking into account intermediate layer. We show that the contact angle between drop's surface and horizontal plane differs from the classical one and depends on the width of the layer and on the radii of the contact circle. If the width of the layer is equal to zero, our representation of the contact angle reduces to the classical one. We prove the existence of equilibrium forms of the axisymmetrical drops on the basis of the variational principle.
