If one translates the title of this paper from Computer Science to Mathematics, it reads: On the use of polar forms of polynomials to the study of approximation of curves and surfaces by interpolation of control points in the Bézier representation of a curve. It is shown that the error in approximation can be locally controlled (this is new) and that the sequence of control points can be chosen so that it converges uniformly to the given curve or surface. The mathematical developments are explicit and clear.
