A new covering property viz RS-compactness has been introduced by the authors in fuzzy setting. The concept has been characterized with the help of fuzzy filterbase and a special type of fuzzy accumulation point, It has been shown that every fuzzy RS-compact and fuzzy semiregular space is fuzzy compact; it has further been shown that the introduced covering property remains invariant under a mapping \(f\) which is fuzzy almost open and fuzzy weakly continuous as well.
